	Bournemouth's 4x4 Experience

Used correctly, off-road vehicles, or 4 x 4s, are very versatile vehicles with a wide variety of uses. Their use with trailers makes them even more flexible and effective tools for both business and recreation. But even the most experienced off-road drivers can find themselves in hazardous and potentially dangerous situations. Serious accidents can and do occur without proper training.

Training is a legal requirement if you drive off-road for business purposes. The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER) require employers to provide adequate training and to ensure that 4 x 4s are driven only by employees who have received appropriate training in their safe use, including with trailers. If you are self-employed, the regulations still apply.

Our courses are delivered by instructors who are approved by the government recognized Lantra National Training Organization. So you can be sure that people who are properly qualified and experienced with 4 x 4s will train you.

Training is done in small groups so that you receive plenty of individual attention, supplemented by course materials.

We work closely with the Health and Safety Executive to ensure that our materials reflect current safe working practices.

1/2 Day Recreational off-road Driving 

Learn:

Price - £99.00 per head (using own vehicle)

Full day Recreational off-road Driving 

Learn:

• The vital features of 4 x 4s and essential maintenance
• How to ensure the safety of yourself and others
• How to assess slopes and other off-road hazards
• How to drive safely and get the best from your vehicle in different off-road conditions.

4x4 Professional off-road Driving
Two-day integrated training and assessment course for a maximum of three people

Learn:

• Vehicle knowledge
• Emergency procedures, including jacking
• Pre-start checks and vehicle preparation
• Correct move-off and driving procedures
• Use of 4-wheel drive and other traction aids
• Vehicle positioning and route planning
• Driving in a variety of off-road situations
• Checks prior to returning to the road

Price - £400.00 (+ VAT) per head
